Score your cloud estate and hand over a board-ready assessment

Varcio Cloud Assessment scores a connected cloud estate and produces an evidence-backed deliverable you can take to a meeting, without deploying or migrating anything. Every completed assessment is kept so you can compare over time and reopen a past report.

The deliverable

A score, the evidence behind it, and a report people will read

Built for the person who has to explain the estate to someone who does not live in it.

A scored estate

Varcio scores the connected estate and shows what the score rests on, rather than asking you to take a number on trust.

An evidence-backed report

The assessment is built from what Varcio read in your connected accounts, and the report embeds an architecture figure drawn from that evidence.

A board-ready export

Export the assessment as a deliverable for a leadership or board meeting, an architecture review or a migration business case.

A saved history

Every completed assessment is persisted, so you can compare one against the last and reopen a past report without recomputing it.

No change to your estate

It does not deploy or migrate anything. It reads, scores and reports.

Read-only by design

Because Varcio separates read from execution access, you can run an assessment without granting any write permission.

How it works

Connect, assess, export, repeat

The same loop works for a one-off review and for a quarterly cadence.

  1. 01

    Connect read-only

Connect your AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or Oracle accounts with read-only credentials. Cloud Access reports precisely which permissions, if any, are missing.

  2. 02

    Run the assessment

Open Deploy & Migration, then Cloud Assessment, and score the connected estate.

  3. 03

    Read the evidence

Review what the score rests on and the findings behind it before you share anything.

  4. 04

    Export the report

Export the board-ready assessment, including the architecture figure.

  5. 05

    Repeat and compare

Run it again after changes and compare against the previous assessment to see what moved.

Use cases

When teams run a cloud assessment

The same read of the estate answers several different questions.

Before a migration

Establish what exists and how ready it is, then move on to source and target readiness, waves and cutover evidence in the migration module.

After an acquisition or reorganisation

Understand an inherited estate quickly, in a form you can put in front of an executive sponsor.

For a leadership or board review

Replace a slide of screenshots with a scored, evidence-backed deliverable that can be reopened and compared next quarter.

As a continuing health check

Run it on a cadence and track the trend, using saved assessments rather than a new spreadsheet each time.

Cloud Assessment is part of Deploy & Migration and sits beside the Compliance module, which maps findings to SOC 2, CIS, NIST and ISO controls and exports evidence for auditors. Use the assessment for the estate-level picture and Compliance for control-level evidence.

With people

Software for the read, engineers for the redesign

If the assessment shows work to do, our Cloud Services team can do it.

The assessment tells you where you stand. Turning it into a landing zone, a migration plan or a modernisation roadmap is engineering work, and Varcio Cloud Services offers it across AWS, Azure and Google Cloud.

FAQ

Questions, answered

What is a cloud assessment?

A cloud assessment is a structured review of an estate that produces a scored, evidence-backed picture of what exists and how it is doing, usually to support a decision such as a migration, a redesign or a leadership review. In Varcio it is generated from your connected accounts.

Does Cloud Assessment change anything in my cloud?

No. It scores the estate and produces a report without deploying or migrating anything, and it can run on read-only connections.

Can I compare assessments over time?

Yes. Every completed assessment is saved, so you can compare against earlier ones for trend and reopen a past report without recomputing it.

Can I share the result with leadership or a board?

Yes. The assessment exports as a board-ready deliverable, and the report embeds an architecture figure drawn from your connected estate.

Which plans include it?

Cloud Assessment is part of Deploy & Migration, available on Pro, Business and Enterprise.
